SCARBOROUGH: 21ST MARCH 2016

Ahh beautiful Scarborough, my old friend!

I haven't had a day out at the coast in SO LONG! Too long in fact. So recently I came home from university and spent the day with my family out at Scarborough. We took the dogs with us and everyone seemed to have such a lovely day. We happened to drop onto some nice sunshine while we were there and even though the winds were a little chilly, it was nice to be outside breathing in the fresh air and seaside breeze.

We parked up on the front, looking over at the sea and took a walk down the left hand side where these beautiful beach huts were. What with the sunshine and the bright colours of these beach huts I felt like I was in the middle of summer - almost.

The colours on these are so vibrant, I love it!

So then we took ourselves back the opposite direction and made our way along the front until we reached the hotels. I ran along the beach with Tia (she loves to chase the waves) and it ended in a minor disaster! I wasn't dressed for the occasion and a wave caught us, completely soaking my poor little feet! Tia was loving the waves, couldn't get enough of them! Me on the other hand - not so much.

It wasn't long before we reached the other side of the seafront and made our way along the amusements, stopping at the end for some fish and chips. (I made my own packed lunch in preparation for this).

I'm not going to lie it is a little sad to see that end of Scarborough so run down. The mini theme park with the ferris wheel and the twister ride me and my sister always loved, was closed. I'm not sure if it is closed down permanently or whether it was closed because it's not peak season, either way it was a little saddening to see it so unused and drained of life.

Now, here is the important thing. The reason we walked along that side of the seafront, the side with the amusements, was because I was on the hunt for a certain discounted book store. Previously when I had been to Scarborough, I came across a book store and discovered one of my favourite ever book series'. I saw Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick sat there on the shelf for a whopping £2! The book had me hooked instantly and I couldn't wait to read it. So upon returning to Scarborough this year I was in search of another book from that beloved store.

The good news is that the book store is still there. (YES!)

Of course I found a book that I liked and thought was worth the read so I dived into my purse and paid another £2 for a new book. I haven't read this book yet but hopefully I will enjoy it!

After we ate food and had a cuppa, we made our way back along the seafront, back to the car and then back home.

Thank you for reading my lovelies! I thoroughly enjoyed my little trip to Scarborough with the family :)

Have a nice day!
